STEPS FOR GETTING KURZWEIL ACCESSS
There are four steps to take in order to use Vocalinks Kurzweil Web License.
1) Download Web License - Download a the Web License client @ Kurzweil V12 client download: http://www.kurzweiledu.com/installv12
*Please note: This is a very large file and may take several hours to download on a high speed internet connection. For best results choose a time when your home network is quiet (late in the evening) and allow the full download without interruptions. *
2) Install Web License - Install Kurzweil V12 Web License, these are the minimum system requirements: Web License System Requirements Processor: 1.3 GHz Pentium 4 or better System Memory: 512 MB (1GB for 64-bit Windows Vista or Windows 7) Hard Disk Space: 2 GB free space Operating System: Microsoft® XP with Service Pack 3 or later, Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 or later, Windows 7 Video RAM: 4 MB or better Screen Resolution: 1024x768 24-bit or better Color Palette: 16-bit Keyboard and mouse Scanner (TWAIN-compatible for Color Professional and Black-and-White Professional only) Sound card: Creative Labs SoundBlaster® 16-bit or higher with speakers and microphone. Internet connection Web browser: Mozilla Firefox 3.5 or later or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or later for Read the Web functionality
3) Acquire Login Information - Email "it@vocalinks.com" and request a Username and Password. Please provide your full name and the school you are affiliated to. IT will email you back with your new username and password. Please store your username and password in a secure manner.
4) Login. Upon logging in, you will notice a tab (License Type) at the bottom of the login window. If you need to scan a document, login with License Type: Kurzweil 3000 Color Professional 12.0. If you do not have a need to scan documents, please sign in using License Type: Kurzweil 3000 LearnStation 12.0.
Enter your username and password provided and voila you are in!
